Additionally, I'm under impression of the knitwear. It's gentle and light but looks also very cosy. It runs over the body or grows up in the form protecting against cold. Sometimes I'm afraid of head to toe knitwear looks receiving them as sloppy, but in this case they are modern and classy at the same time so they look really elegant.
Yesterday in Paris Christophe Lamaire has shown his Fall 2014 Ready-to-Wear collection and for me it's love at the first sight. I've been watching each silhouette again and again with enduring excitation! And dreaming about wearing all the pieces just right now, without waiting till the next season. Yah... I would love to wear each of them. These shapes, these fabrics and the tailoring – all perfectly connected together creating winter looks I was dreaming about for a long time. Remember my post about difficulties with finding a good winter inspirations? This collection hits the jackpot. It's multilayered, oversized and warm. You can jump into it and don't jump out till Spring. I love the details too. They're confidentially placed on even parts of clothes adding delicacy and subtlety. For me they can easly replace any jewelery. Furthermore, I think that any jew can only distract attention from the perfect pieces. Additionally, I'm under impression of the knitwear. When I saw these pictures for the first time I realized that I've never thought about kids fashion in a serious way. In these picture I like how the stylization creates atmosphere and harmonizes with girls' personality. They are really natural and for me incredibly eloquent. I like the first picture because it presents a few trends in a mini version. There is a loose donut hair, windowpane white pants and neutral grey jersey. I wouldn't mind wearing this. Furthermore it's bright and fresh and the model is girlish and so innocent by covering her eyes. And the others? I can say that each one represents a specyfic style. There is a french chic with a straight fringe, basic colors and alternative bag. There is also a pin up girl with a sweet pink bow in her hair. Another one seems a bit nonchalant with her head turned back and hands in her pockets, but she lives in harmony with nature and herself. Fancy one is a bit provocative, covered by her a little to big sunglasses. And the last one is classy, in subdued colors and good quality fabrics but colorful turban is like the icing on the cake and makes her looking inspirating and mature. She inspires me the most.
You can find my sources on my Pinterest (there is a bit more about childrens fashion but I'll explicate it soon). During my last semester, apart form “Deformation...” project, I was also working on project called 'Metamorphosis'. The task was quite funny for me because I do like all the clothes modifications. I had to find some vintage or second-hand pieces and create from them a modern piece of clothing. I chose some t-shirts and blouses kept in color range refering to the seaside. I wanted to picture the difference between smooth sky and sea in blue tones and eroded beige, bright stones. This contrast touched me really much last time when I was in South Italy. Here you have some of my initial materials and some trials or the workshop with the fabric. In a few days you will see a lookbook which finished my work on the project. Wondering how to measure the effect of my diet I came across the picture below (it's disgusting I know... but figurative) and immediately decided that being fit, firm and musculed is more important to me than losing my weight. If I want to have attractive body it doesn't mean that I need to be super skinny. So I made up my mind and I measured my circumference of hips, waist and thigh. And it's 102, 76 (yeah... I know that my waist to hips ratio is excellent but both values are objectively large...) and 63 (shame on me...).
I hope we'll se some results soon! As I wrote before one of my student projects was „Deformation by the form of clothing”. I prepared several sketches and I choose with my professor one of them to realize it.What is really impressive to me is how the project evaluated since the beginning. The very first idea was quite basic - it was all in white and the fabric was meant to be one layered. And in the end it evaluated to the asymetric two-colour and multiplied piece. I wasn't sure before but now I really like the subtle correlation between tints and factures of materials. It plays well with a matt graphite background. I tried to style it mysteriously and romantic using extremly long and curved eyelashes in deep black, pure white short nails and the ground with undefined expression.
I'm not sure about the hairdo. I tried to make it subtle and blending with the foil. Though maybe it should be more visible and expressive? This photo session was my first ever. I had no experience in collaboration with a photographer and models so I'm really amazed how it was then. My photographer's support is invaluable. Boruszak (you can find her here) was helping me with a choice of poses and working with models. And my beautiful models Kasia i Asia were really supportive and did their best. Girls! Thank you so much! xoxo My trip to Spain caused that I begun to think about „more spring” (or maybe rather summer) outifts. It's about 10-16ºC in Pamplona right now but I suppose it'll be up to 20 when I'll be there. So for me it means leaving my cozy boots and wool coat at home and packing some shorts and other „bare legs” pieces, t-shirts and lightweight cardigans. Ipso facto it means showing my body to the world (at least my arms and legs). And this is the problem. I gained some kilos lately... Or rather more than some... To be honest, I have difficulties with fitting into some of my pants! And I'm sure I won't feel comfortable in shorts with this body. I need to feel self confident and go-ahead to spend this time well and to draw from this trip as much as possible. Unfortunately, in my case, I know it's hard to achive without athletic and slim body. That's why yesterday I started my diet, minimalizing sweets and fats, maximizing fruits and vegetables. My spanish holidays are my best motivation! Today I add some stretching and I prepare (after weeks of being inactive) to swimming tomorrow morning. I found a motivation quote on Vitality Wins which sounds perfect for me and which I want to be my motto till my ideal figure. Keep your fingers crossed! What does 220 calories look like?
