Love this kind of task when you had to operate to the maximum the minimum amount of resources. You had to combine, exchange, turn upside down, replace, devide and separate. You had to use the potential and make something revealing and innovative, not resembling the starting material. You had to be creative!
When doing this project I had only two screens to exploit - both expressive and unique. What I wanted to do was to create something very simple and universal, for use in a variety of ways. That's why I separated from the screen only triangles consisting of stripes of completely fulfilled. I printed them on different fabrics using different paints, getting patterns expressive and graphic or delicate and subtle. Score! Each one is unbelievably remote from the basic screens! Exactly as I wanted.
The more I learn how to use the watercolor the more I like it.
Lately, I've been working on a watercolor project for an exhibition which I'm willing to have by the end of the year. Inspired by human inner body and the outer space I'm painting my imagination of the union of both which means that I'm trying to find the place of man in the universe. It's going to evolve and create something very special to me. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Inspired by colorful travel journal drawn by Анастасия Кардашова which I found on Doodlersanonymous I decided to incorporate some color to my weekend sketches. I wanted this category to be about holidays, sun and having good time so there should be more joy and energy. That is wy I was considering some watercolor stains or a crayon drawing. FInally, not to brag, I ended up with green pen instead of the black one. And instead of laughing vacationers there is historical architecture between the greenery. I'll work on more color, I promise.
One of the projects which you've seen in the previous post was sawn as a prototype and shoot to be placed into my portfolio. I was modeling for the first time in my life! It's not easy at all! I'm not learnt how to pose and change my body dynamic or how to work with my mimicry. But my ignorance and lack of experience brought as so much fun! With the photographer instructing: " a bit to the right, a bit more, more.. no! no! to much! a bit to the left, to me, ok, ok, yah, stay... stay as that... no! yeah! it's ok!" and with my doing this crazy dance "to the left, to the left" and trying to catch the fall! However, I think it was my last time modeling. Anyway, we coped this challenge!
The dress is not exactly what I wanted, but close enough not to be ashamed and to show you the result. I can see that the construction should be changed or one of the materials should be changed because they don't work together properly. Each one has different structure and behaves originally when set together with others. That's why we work on prototypes! But still, I'm enjoying the result!
The best think about being a designer is to be able to see your projects put into practice - sewn, photographed, exhibited, printed, built, etc. I extremely love the feeling when watching all my crazy thoughts are being realized. Sometimes it's a whole process for the project to be finished and it takes several months, as it was for example with my office interior project, and sometimes it's only a few days as with this laptop sleeve for my best friend. Both ways are exciting and fascinating. Both keep me motivated for further actions and give a purpose to my work.
That's why I really wanted to go a step further with my Fruity textile. I was dreaming about my design on pillows lying on the terrace on a summer evening and bags carried on the beach. I imagined this print on leggings for holidays workouts and on t-shirts. But until signing up on Society6 it simply didn't accur to me that my design can be used not only on textile! Today you can see my project on a variety of products as the pillow mentioned before, a tote bag, iPhone case or even on a wall clock! There's no better way to be motivated and feel the bliss than sharing that and knowing that there is someone appreciating that! This is beyond words!

Inspired by the beauty of Icelandic nature I made this collection from natural fabrics, in soften earth colors, combining thick textured wool and casual melange cotton in beiges and greys. Thought, it's perfect for holidays spent in the nature. I would love to see this collection sewn and launched! And worn by happy vacationers!
This time, from the beginning till the end, I made it digital. Using Psd for creating outlines was really cool because I was able to create really sensitive lines, full of grey gradient, a bit unsaid, and dynamic. Further, manipulating with fabric textures to get all the necessary shades and sizes was as easy as pie. I'm sure it's going to be one of my favourite techniques for drawing fashion illustrations!
